The biggest question for home buyers again this year is “Will you PLEASE accept this offer (for the love!)?”

The Bachelor Finale may have come and gone. but at this point, we’re not sure when the finale of this hot & crazy Real Estate market is going to be happening.

My Biggest tip for homebuyers making offers in todays Real Estate market is this:

Know your local market to be prepared. Mental preparation is key right now. You will likely make an offer on more than one home before “winning a house”. It’s important to know that going into the process.

1. You want to go in with your best offer first, Gone (for now) are the days of start low and negotiate your way to high. If you know this is the house for you, go all in on the first try because you may not get a second chance. Make sure that when you ask, “will you accept this offer?”, the sellers can’t help but say YES!
2. leverage the back up offer. I have helped Buyers win a home many times with back up offers. With so much pressure to throw in offer in instead of “sleeping on it”, there are more fall throughs than ever before. have your offer held as a back up to put you next in line if that happens!
3. Do not get emotionally attached to any home until it’s yours. This will soften the blow if your offer is not selected. Make sure you can see your self living in the home, but just don’t fall in love with it on the first date!
